3SG is boutique agency founded in 2001 by Catherine Knights. Our small but focused client base works in all areas of the Performing Arts: Live Stage, Film, Television, Commercials, and Voice. We also represent some of the top playwrights, stage directors, choreographers and musical directors in the country. 3SG is a Member in Good Standing of TAMAC.
Catherine Knights is a graduate of York University and has been a professional agent in Toronto since 1998. As a member of the Board of TAMAC (Talent Agent’s and Manager’s Association of Canada) she served as liaison with the unions and professional guilds with whom TAMAC clients interact. Catherine has recently been appointed to the Advisory Council of the Drama and Theatre Department of Sheridan College and is frequently consulted by the unions and by other agents on matters pertaining to agreements, industry standards and inter- agency protocol.
Mary Swinton has worked in the Canadian Entertainment Industry for thirty-five years. She was a member in good standing of ACTRA and ACTOR’S EQUITY from 1971 -1990 at which point she transitioned into Talent Representation. For the next two years, she worked at The Edward G, Talent Agency followed by fifteen years with The Core Group Talent Agency Inc. where she represented clients for film, television, theatre, voice-overs, commercials, industrials & print as well as creating that company’s highly successful Children’s Division.
Since 1998 she has been a member of the Talent Agents and Managers Association of Canada (TAMAC) and was a founding member of the ACTRA/TAMAC Children’s Committee responsible for significant new protections for child performers during the 1999 ACTRA/CFTPA/APFTO Independent Production Agreement negotiations.
Committed to improving working conditions and terms of employment for professional performers across Canada, she has also been a key participant in ACTRA/IPA, Commercial Agreement, and Digital and New Media Committees and as TAMAC’s Child Performer liaison, she champions those in the Entertainment Industry who cannot speak for themselves. Over the years, Ms. Swinton has been a frequent Guest Speaker at numerous ACTRA Toronto member Conferences.
She is the proud Foster Parent of 14 yr. old girl, Awa Zidouemba, resident of Burkina Faso in Africa.
Elizabeth Hampton
While attending the University of Windsor to study musical theatre, it didnt take long for Liz to realize that while performing wasn't her thing she did have an incredible affinity for the arts and for artists. She has always known that a life in the arts would be inevitable.
As a result, Liz Hampton graduated from the University of Windsor with a honours B.A. in Drama and Communications.
Upon graduating from university, Liz worked as the Theatre Arts Development Officer for the Windsor Arts Council for 4 years liasing with artists and boards of directors alike.
She then took the post as the Assistant General Manager of the Capitol Theatre in Windsor Ontario helping in rebuilding what was once a delapitated theatre to a newly refurbished grassroots community arts centre.
Liz has been a talent agent since 1998 and began her career with Glickman Talent Management in Toronto, before her move to 3SG.
